Hella Gutmann Solutions GmbH and ADAC e.V. are continuing their successful cooperation. Tthe road patrol vehicles are currently being successively equipped with the new mega macs X multi-brand diagnostic tool, which has been specially adapted for the ADAC. This is the third time that ADAC has entrusted Hella Gutmann with a contract since the beginning of their partnership more than 20 years ago. "We are grateful for the trust placed in us and proud to be able to support the mobility of ADAC members with our advanced technology," explains Adnan Cemal, Managing Director of Hella Gutmann Solutions GmbH. With the decision to equip all road patrol vehicles throughout, the ADAC is relying on the quality of the mega macs X. Delivery of a total of 1,800 units has begun, and the first installations have already been implemented.

Electronic diagnostic tools are essential in modern roadside assistance, as the complexity of vehicle electronics is continuously increasing. The mega macs X contributes to the ADAC making vehicles roadworthy again directly at the scene of a breakdown, whether cars or motorcycles. Thanks to modern protocols such as CAN-FD and DoIP, the mega macs X can process large amounts of data from new generations of vehicles efficiently and wirelessly without being tied to a fixed location. With the AI-supported "Automatic Diagnosis" function, all necessary diagnostic steps can be carried out automatically and quickly in order to identify the defective component in the best possible way.  In addition, the mega macs X can unlock manufacturer-specific security locks for 22 brands thanks to "Cyber Security Management" (CSM).

Especially for the ADAC, the diagnostic specialists from Ihringen have linked the mega macs X with the ADAC's own system. This seamless integration makes it possible not only to carry out diagnoses, but also to create and print reports for the casualty directly on the tablet on site. This ensures fast and efficient breakdown assistance, which benefits ADAC members. The mega macs X only accesses servers operated in Europe. This guarantees compliance with strict data protection standards - an important aspect for the ADAC when choosing a provider.

"The mega macs X improves our responsiveness and can further increase the success rate," says Thomas Reynartz, Head of Roadside Assistance. The continuous updating and expansion of the functions of the mega macs X also ensures that the high coverage of a wide range of vehicles is also guaranteed in the future. This also ensures in the long term that members are reliably helped in the event of a breakdown.
